Naming, Branding and Packaging
Naming and brand identity for a high end fashion boutique.
Lacunne is a high fashion boutique established in San Pedro Garza García. It’s a brand of its own with luxury pieces and a modern/chic style. Lacunne carries brands from places such as London and Australia, considered fashion capitals of the world, among others.
This project started with the naming. Lacunne comes from the word lagoon in Latin “lacuna” which means the missing part. Some syllables were changed to give it more identity. That was how Lacunne – the missing part of your closet and life was created.
The tagline of the brand is “ARTWEAR”, given each piece found in the boutique is a work of art, not like the typical ready to wear you can find in other stores nearby.
The name and the tagline were the base of the image, inspired in the great painter Monet, recognized by his poppies and lagoons included in his paintings. That was the source for the color palette and the creation of other representative graphics to accompany the brand.
The emblem was created from the bases of the letters LCN, resulting in a strong brand of easy reproduction for practicity matters. A different set of brandmarks were also created to give life to a complete and versatile identity that could be elegant and chic at the same time.
